Frequently asked questions

What counts as a render?

Every successful call to /v1/screenshot, /v1/og-image or /v1/pdf counts as one render. Failed renders are logged but do not consume your quota.

Which formats are supported?

Screenshots are PNG or JPEG. Social cards are always PNG at 1200×630 by default. PDFs support A4, A3, Letter and Legal, portrait or landscape.

Can I render pages that require login?

Yes. Send HTTP Basic credentials or configure form selectors. Credentials exist only in the isolated render context, are never stored or logged, and are discarded immediately after capture.

Is it secure to let you fetch arbitrary URLs?

We inspect every navigation, redirect, iframe and subresource, blocking private, loopback, link-local and reserved IP ranges before any response reaches the rendered page. Service workers and WebSockets are disabled, and each render uses an isolated browser context that is destroyed afterwards.

How do I cancel my subscription?

From the billing page, click 'Manage subscription' to open the Stripe portal. You can cancel, upgrade or download invoices there. No email to support needed.

What happens when I hit my quota?

The API returns HTTP 400 with a quota_exceeded error code. Your quota resets on the first day of each calendar month. Upgrade any time to raise the limit immediately.
